Santa's Igloo Review (Groupon)

Hi all! Here is a super belated review on Santa's Igloo which many has been asking for and I finally had some time to do up a proper review cause this place had too much nice photos for me to choose from and took quite a while to upload! 

Santa's Igloo is located conveniently at the central and is a really good place to hang out at with cereals, games and movie screening that can keep your hours of stay in here fully occupied. You will never have to worry about what to do in here with all the games and facilities! Their charge is $10/h (excl. 10% service charge) per hour per person without ice cream buffet or $19 (excl. 10% service charge) per hour per person WITH ice cream buffet which made their Groupon deal really worth it since we had it at $84.90 for 6 pax for 1.5 h with ice cream buffet!

Upon entering, you can check yourself in at the counter and exchange for a tag with your IC to track your own timing. Then, move on to your right to remove your shoes and change into clean socks which is provided in a basket.

They have 3 different areas in Santa's Igloo and the main area has the fondues, cereals, snacks, ice cream, occulus, pool table and lots of different kind of games waiting for you!

 Of course, food is a big part of every cafe and so here are the kind of cereals, snacks and ice cream you can expect! Of course, milk provided with the cereals if you are wondering and they do have quite a variety of cereal that you may not find commonly outside! Just to mention, ice cream toppings are included in the $9/h of buffet which makes it really worth it with their quality ice cream (not those magnolia kind okays) that changes flavour every now and then! Their fondue is really good especially if you like milky and sweet stuff!

Apart from the main area, you can find another area which is called the Sea Room. In here, you can find Foosball, Darts Board, card games (taboo, monopoly etc.) and this finger control game which I haven got the name of it till now.

The last and final area is the movie room which I can't be going in with my camera and shining my flash around to get you an image so it is for you to find out on your own now! Anyway, they have a really big screen with many bean bags and sofa which you can rest comfortably with your friends and choose a movie from their movie list. It is on a first come first serve basis though so be prepared to watch whatever other are watching if you are not the first group of people in.

When we went, I guess they just launched their ala-carte menu which I didn't manage to try yet! Do email me or just simply comment below (in case many of you didn't know you can) and I will be more than glad to drop by this place again with my friends to find out what's worth ordering here!

To conclude, Santa's Igloo is a relax place to chill in with your friends if you are looking for somewhere to hang out at during weekday or weekend. Be prepared to share the facilities with the rest if you go on peak hours and it can get a little crowded at times! Do remember to keep your own bowls and cups when you get there onto a shelves that has been set for you to leave your used utensils at. If cereals don keep you full, at least now they have main meals for you to choose from like lasagne. Food quality rating based on food not based in ala carte menu since I am not reviewing on that but I think of all food I had all was in good quality so it's definitely a 5!

Its Friday!! So glad that Friday has already arrived though I can't get to rest this weekend to begin with. Still, at least I got to wake up at 8 am instead of the usual 6.30 am so that is a 1.5 hour of extra sleep time that is worth celebrating! 

Super judgemental friend of mine but super nice as well.

Sat down at the break water listening to my favourite radio station for hours thinking about life with my friend. Thanks for making me get up the damn place that I took so long to come down after but well, at least it isn't a place I would go up alone. Thanks for accompanying me for hours without any complains and helping me sort out my mind. 

Hours of thinking made me understand the fact that no one has the ability to change others to begin with. I gave all I could in the previous relationship in hope that he will learn to see his own mistakes over playing the blame game but nope. The whole conversation still ended with me as the cause of his final decision. Maybe, it is good. At least, the story has come to an end now. 

I think I really got fatter. 

 There are so much thing that I could have done better as well. I could have been more forgiving, take all the blame and just not get bothered over trivial stuff. If only I learn to take a step back in every quarrel, or just admit defeat, probably it would save my previous relationship from a lot of unnecessary quarrel. But I know, even so, I wouldn't be happy because there is just this much of blame that I can take down. So I guess, it was a nice wrap up and the better choice for both of us at the very end. So it's time again for me to be brave, move on and continue to seek improvements on my own again! :)  

Satay Culture Lok Lok Buffet Review (Groupon)

Yay! Completed another Groupon deal after a pretty long drag due to hectic schedule. This time round, it is a trip to  Satay Culture to complete our Lok Lok buffet and I would say I found another pretty good place to have food in!

Pricing: $29.90/pax (excl. service charge and GST) for 1h 45 minutes buffet 

Includes 1 soup base and free flow of food , drinks and ice cream of course! 

Here is a video to how the environment looks like and sorry that the video is not the best as I just recently picked up the habit of taking video! Personally I find the place a little hard to access, the place was still quite empty when we went for our meal but like most steamboat stores, the seats are quite packed together so I guess when it is packed you can definitely make friends with your neighbours easily! 

For food variation, I would say it is really more than enough to fill your tummy without getting sick and tired of this place in the 1h 45 minutes. In fact, you would probably find 1 hour 45 minutes too short to finish all this food! So here is a short video on how you can expect the food to be roughly like! From marinated pork, chicken to quail eggs, pig stomach, fish, vegetables and many more!

So here is the drink bar and you get to choose from calamansi, water chestnut and ice lemon tea! Decent drinks choice for a place like this I feel.

For soup base, you can get to choose from ma la, satay or chicken soup base. 

We took the chicken soup base cause my girlfriend said no satay base and ma la may be too much for me so yea, we went to satay culture without the satay base. So they provided us with the satay sauce which is a little spicy on another plate as you can see below which matches really well with the food! 

Customer service was excellent too! The staffs are really friendly and attentive to our needs. 

I really love the food here since it is really fresh and the place is definitely a lot cleaner compared to any other steamboat places I went to and I would definitely come back here again without Groupon at the stated price!
